FSL Wild Rift Open III Crowns New Queens

Philippine team, TSUAHAH were crowned as the champions of the Wild Rift Open III after beating ROY Ladies in a best-of-5 stunner where they reverse swept their Vietnamese opponent.

Philippine team, TSUAHAH were crowned as the champions of the Wild Rift Open III after beating Vietnamese team, ROY Ladies in a best-of-5 stunner where they reverse swept their opponent. TSUAHAH’s players: Ayapi, Den, Eyec, Jonez, Im Rogi, and Ken took home 550 SGD and 5,000 Wild Cores while 1st runner-up, ROY Ladies got 250 SGD and 3,000 Wild Cores. Grindsky Eris won the 3rd place match with a 2-0 victory against Talon Esports.

Twenty-Three female teams signed up for FSL’s Wild Rift Open III last June 27-July 6, 2022. The teams were divided into 8 groups where the top 2 of each group headed to the playoffs. The playoffs featured popular female teams such as Grindsky Eris (2021 SEA Games Wild Rift Women’s Gold Medalist), ROY ladies, Talon Esports, Space Gamer Everest, and OneSnap Esports.

After the round of 16, Phoenix Ladies, Grindsky Eris, NML STORY4, ROY LADIES, TSUAHAH, MDH Esports, Talon Esports, and LESBEHONEST continued to the next stage of the tournament. Grindsky Eris and ROY LADIES scored a 2-0 against their opponents to meet each other in the semifinals. On the other side of the bracket, TSUAHAH won 2-0 against MDH Esports and Talon Esports took a 2-1 victory against LESBEHONEST. Down to the final four, ROY LADIES handed Grindsky Eris a 2-0 upset and eliminated the tournament favorites from the competition. TSUAHAH also eliminated Talon Esports with a clean 2-0.

In the grand finals, ROY LADIES took game 1 and 2 from TSUAHAH. It looked like the girls from Vietnam would run away with the victory. With their backs against the wall, TSUAHAH mounted an epic comeback to reverse sweep ROY Ladies and claimed the FSL Wild Rift Open III championship with a 3-2 win crowning another Philippine team as the champions.
